The whole inference of the situation is that the Valor crashed AFTER most of its crew had already died to a single slasher, and not even an enhanced slasher. Originally posted by Puggly the Grey:The team that opened the escape pod were all armed and armored, as demonstrated by their corpses near the pod. That information is never relayed to the Valor. Isaac immediately gets a note from a graffiti to cut off their limbs - then he informs Hammond and Daniels to do so. The only reason our ship doesn't crash and blow up on arrival is because Isaac warns the pilot to crash near the stasis system to slow them down.Īnother factor is that whatever the crew inside the Valor was, when they recovered an escape pod they probably didn't expect hostile forces, so they got caught with their pants down with one of the most dangerous creatures that you absolutely cannot kill with conventional weapons (Note how useless the plasma rifle is, especially when going center mass). We can see this during our play through where we see several crew members commit suicide, supported by logs of growing dissent, paranoia, and strange "Illnesses" the crew was developing due to the marker's presence.Īlso, as we face at the start of the game, the Ishimura's landing system are absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥, either by the corrupted humans before they turned or by the necromorph themselves. The morgue was already full because the Marker was already corrupting and screwing up the minds of the crew, let alone with Mercer actively trying to create/spawn necromorphs with his research.
